Bells and wot not

Mornin' all

I couldn't help but smile with relief whilst reading Rod Lawton's words on just how complicated modern DSLRs are. I have thought that for a long time now. My Sony Alpha 350 was complicate enough at time, and my new Alpha 77 is even more so! But that isn't my problem, it's remembering what I changed where, when and why I changed it. I'm not surprised that so many snappers stick to the auto settings, so much easier. But of course that's the unadventurous way of working. To get the best out of any camera you need to be adventurous and move away from auto - and then try to remember the where when and why of it all

Now all I need is some decent enough weather to get out and give A77 a good try out. Why? I know it's shower proof but I am disabled and have to use scooter to get about on. And believe me, it really isn't fun to be out in the rain on a scooter!

I know what you mean, every now and then I have to kick myself when I forget to change my ISO or something else after I changed it last time. I'm getting better now though and am kicking myself less and less, which is good because I probably look a bit mad when kicking myself.

I agree about moving away from auto, it's. good place to start but its good to move on.
Good luck with the A77.

Chris
