Hi all, not posted in here for quite a long time now. I've been fairly happily shooting away with my Olympus E520 but it's time for me to move on. I've a few specifics that need meeting so I'm hoping that some of you will be able to advise me on which can best meet my needs. Firstly, I'm going down the micro four thirds route as I am an outdoors enthusiast, and not a pro-photographer so I am prioritising size over image quality (hence the E520 which is a fairly small interchangeable Lens system).
So, the things I am really after - a hot shoe for an external camera, excellent ISO and HD video. The hot shoe will be used for an external flash quite often, I need high ISO as my GF does some fast action indoor sport thing (low light, high speeds) and my own sport is mountain biking and I would like to film at 720p.
My options so far are the Olympus E-P3 which is actually well above my price range. The Olympus E-PM1 which is horribly fidely and I hated playing with it in Jessops today, and the Samsung NX1000 which ticks all the boxes. At £
300, the NX1000 seems like the one to go for. I worry that there won't be enough after market lenses for the Samsung. Panasonics are out as no hot shoe, Sonys are out as they seem too expensive...
So, does anyone have any opinions or alternative for me to consider? Cheers in advance.
