Camera Upgrade

Hi All, just joined the forum and am looking for some advice on upgrading my dslr.

I currently have a Nikon D200 which has taken over 450000 images, so not worth a lot as a trade in but would like to keep as a back up. My dIlema is what do I upgrade to, I fancy either the Nikon D600 or D800 but would also need to upgrade my lenses to full frame. Budget is very limited £2000 tops but could upgrade my current lenses in about 6 months time. My current lenses are
Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 55-300mm 1:4.5-5.6G ED
Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm 1.35-5.6 G ED
Sigma 50-500mm 1:4-6.3D APO HSM

I know that by using the above lenses I would lose approx half the megapixals.

Any help or advice would be greatly appriciated.

The Sigma 50-500mm F4-6.3 is a full frame lens so works fine with the D800 but you do need good light. I still have my D200 and use now and again but not much this year as the light has been so bad. If you want action shots then it has to be the Nikon D600.

Thanks for the info, what I didn't state in my original post was that most of my photography covers motorsport, I agree with you about the light being bad this year I've had to struggle on some events to get a reasonable shot.

Thanks for the help.
