Elements learning book recommendations

Hi, have just got Elements 7, and looking for a book to teach me how to use it (to complement the magazine + discs).
Prefer something for a beginner to digital editing e.g. what layers are, not just how to use them.

Thanks.

From my experience it is more about how to do things with photos such as brighten them remove blemishes etc, a useful book that I would recommend is this along with a good reference book such as this

One advantage of using the previous version of elements is that you should be able to pick up a second hand copy of these books which will save some cash.

Personally I have found video tutorials to be the best learning method, I am lucky enough to have two monitors so can play the video on one and do the exercises on the other.
