An interesting comment by one of the judges on the video wirth regard to the This is Britain category running along a rather non positive theme - something commented on here. Of course the judges could only judge the photos put forward by whoever it was first selected them. Perhaps they might have preferred a more balanced selection too?

They still never work for me either. Early on I could disable the ad banner in Kaspersky and get it to show but then even that made no difference next time I went on. I also have problems opening windows like the panoramic competition which just just gives me an empty window. Still seem a lot of problems on here to me. I keep being logged in automatically for a week or so then suddenly I come on and instead of remembering me I have to log in again.

Even stranger is that when another member (Spook) informs us that he has started a blog (at the time of my posting his post is directly under this one) the PR video that he has included actually works.

How perceptive Sue.

One of the wnning entries (3rd in the "This Is Britain" category) - at least - is under investigation for an alleged rules infringment. See the other thread link below.

Still no word from Mr Brain regarding the outcome though.

Hope it doesn't detract form the overall winner - as it outshone - ALL others.

PS - Just seen forseti's comment above - very strange - I'd say - but not surprising.

The winning image is stunning and so beautiful and so deserves to be the winner. The photographer says it was shot in daylight though, it looks more like night to me. Does anyone see that, or is it just me? I don't know what the light is like in Iceland though and maybe they do have dark skies?

We're still looking into it. So far it looks like the competition in questions which was run by the online news magazine The First Post was not a "major national or international competition" and therefore the image doesn't violate the rules. I will keep you updated. Have a jolly weekend. Thanks, Ben
