I don't think Chris is with backbutton focussing as yet

I set it up on my 7D quite easily, I believe the 60D is the same procedure.

If she isn't with backbutton focussing then I guess setting the focus mode to AI Servo is the next best thing.

Yes Chris you do have a button you can configure, did you follow the link I posted earlier?

Here is a better tutorial, it'd for the 7D but I'm not sure if the 60D is identical, but even so it will help.

Had a quick go at panning this afternoon, failed miserably did not keep the camera in the correct plane.

Set up: single focus point. Manual sharpening.
I used no support for the camera.
