I get the impression the 70D is potentially being positioned in the 7D market so it I am guessing it may be at the 7D price point.

Oh dear! Back to the 60D or 650D then.

I've just remembered, whenever I log in, despite having ticked the appropriate 'remember me' box, it doesn't. Why is that? Sorry if this question is in the wrong place, please forgive.

Thanks for that 2Beers. Isn't it strange that all of a sudden you know but only after someone tells you?

That has been going on for some people since the switch from Photoradar (Dec 2011).

One of the great places to watch for new Canon equipment coming out is:

http://www.canonrumors.com/

They are pretty comprehensive and they are usually spot on when it comes to the dates cameras will be released.

My eternal thanks to you all for your assistance over the choice of upgrade EOS's. My final choice was the 650D, made equally between cost and my standard of photography. I fear that I shall never get to use full manual mode, although I am not the worst in the world using 'Av' and/or 'Tv' modes.

I have only had the 650D for about five hours, it was delivered at 07:45 this mornng. Already I am beginning to like the touch screen and am looking forward to this evening when I can have a 'mess' with the handheld night scene mode. For what my opinion is worth, I think that the 650D is a decent upgrade from the 550D as I need all the help that I can get.

I have done about twenty shots with my 60mm macro lens on f16 and manual focus and they weren't too shabby. My next experiment will be with my Sigma 120-400mm lens, handheld of course. I have had some good results with the lens and the 550D and I am expecting at least as good with the 650D.
