Thanks Chris.

I have to go out shortly, so will formally announce this months camera technique this P.M.

My favorite sports restarts this month and this sport in my inspiration for this months comp. The sport being Formula 1. The technique used in motor sport is "Panning"

"Panning" will be this months technique.

Briallant entry wavemachine

Well done on a excellent and convincing win Harry. There was a good turnout this month and some really good photographs entered, it was tricky to decide who to vote for, but the tones and textures on Harry's entry swayed me.

UP: Old fuel pump by alexharrison101
A great find and really good processing, was it HDR? I really like the way you've managed to get light onto the front of the pump, to show the detail, despite the main light coming from the right.

DOWN: This Old House by wavemachine
Again a good find and great processing, I really like the shades and textures in the trees, shrubs and fascia boards and the distressed look you've given to the house. My only small negative is I feel the sky is a little too dark in the middle and bright on the sides. BTW I can't decide whether you are a fan of Shakin' Stevens or Steve and Norm

Great theme for this month Harry, although as a fan of F1 also, I'm wondering whether I'll have the time to enter the comps

Congratulations Harry, super photo that did get my vote!

UP: felix on the floor
I would have cropped out the box and cables at the top of the picture. Maybe an other angle would have been more interesting, we can't see the face of Felix and it would have been better to show how he feels (eyes closed, feeling relaxed is suppose).

DOWN: Old fuel pump
A nice picture, I like the processing. Interesting object. Well done!

No problem, I'm still learning to, and already learned a lot thanks to this forum and the challenges

PS English is not my mother language, so I want to excuse me if what I write sounds hard. I never mean to be it that way.

Well done once again Harry on a well deserved win, I thought it was a great shot but it narrowly missed my vote as I wasn't to keen on the cut off grave stones at the bottom, I know it is very picky but due to the standard of the entries I had to be picky

My vote went to Sabrina's - Boat, I just fell in love with this shot, it was well suited to B & W and I felt the buildings complimented the boat well to give it a timeless feel.

Up - Nick_gray - Block and Tackle

This image really suited a B & W conversion, I think you chose really well in the processing which I felt brought out the shades and texture really well, my only minor issue is the composition I wanted to see more of the ropes on the right to see the detail. Having said that a lovely shot.

Down - VJTh - Lonely Slippers

Firstly welcome to the forum and thanks for joining in.

A really nice idea and nice shot, good composition, I found the rock on the top left distracted me from the subject, I think it may have worked a bit better with a less lumpy area of soil or sand. A great entry though and nice B & W conversion.

Thanks to elviskennyg, VJth for my votes.

Thanks to Nick for your comments, I agree on the sky I was hoping for a really moody cloudy sky and held out as long as I could but it just didn't happen. The house is a 5 minute walk from my house, the bottom of the drive was so overgrown that up until a fortnight ago I didn't even know there was a house there. It is very run down which is what I tried to bringout, I believe it is now sold but suspect it will saddly have to be knocked down

Well done everyone, a great number of entries and a great standard the made voting so so hard!

Many thanks to all who voted for my entry, Strange thing is, it was not my intended entry. On
the last day of Feb. I went out onto the Lincolnshire Wolds with the intention of shooting a few misty scenes. During the evening I had visitors so rushed to post my Misty Scene and copied the incorrect code.

This should have been my entry, but hey! who's complaining

Harry
