It's a quite reasonable response, I think. I welcomed the new member to the forum. I pointed out that the information they wanted was in fact quite easy to find. I gave them a link not just to the Metz website, but something that would get them close to what they needed to purchase. I named the item that I thought they might need, but since I didn't have the EXACT model name of their flashgun, I couldn't be quite certain that was what they wanted, so wrote probably. I think I was as factual as I could be, without having the precise details of the OP's equipment in my grubby little mitts.
Civil? Well, you get what you find. The OP was quite straightforward about what was wanted, no introductions or civilities there.
'Can anyone help? was the last sentence. I think I did, even if I was a bit brusque about it. No one else responded, civil, factual, or otherwise.
