Thanks for the comment Wavemachine, I know what you mean, and agree it's a bit pristine, but it's the recently renovated hull of the Cutty Sark, so has never been in the water. The plating is a mixture of copper and zinc, called Muntz, and was applied to ships to prevent algae growing and barnacles attaching themselves, to allow the ship to slip through the water faster.

Harry, if you go to the poll thread/posting and click on one of the number of votes against one of the entries, you'll see who voted for which entry.

Another really good win Alex, congratulations and well done on a simple but effective entry.

Up: Wavemachine's "Tis Cold Outside to a Degree!"
I like the textures in the wood of the shed, but think that perhaps the thermometer is a little square on, and maybe a change of angle might have improved the image. Oh, and your image was my older daughter's favourite

Down: Jediboy's "Seconds..."
Very well thought out image. I like the blur of the seconds hand, over the 5 seconds. I've read somewhere that 10:10 is the best time to set the hands, as you've done and it really shows a much better balance to the face of the watch. Perhaps my only slight niggle would be the blue of the bezel in the bottom left, isn't replicated around the rest of the watch.

My vote went to Sabrina's "Ampères or amps" I thought the colours and lighting were great.

Thank you to all that voted for my entry. It's really appreciated.

Nick
