I suspect that the 'extras' contain Adobe Bridge and Adobe Stock Photos (something that Adobe withdrew a few years ago) as well as various brushes and fonts, so you will probably need to install this 'disc'.

Looking at the PDF, it suggests that the VCS2.zip file is Total Training Video Workshop files, so I wouldn't bother, just get what you need from YouTube.

You could always download the 30-day trial of Elements from the Adobe site, and if you like it, just buy the serial number from Adobe after the trial ends. Or after the trial, go out and buy the retail version and use the serial number that's in the box.

I haven't looked at Corel products since they 'let me go' 15 odd years ago, but they produced some pretty good graphics products at the time and probably still do. I think the problem you will have though is that there still aren't many tutorials for Paintshop Pro or PhotoPaint but there are hundreds for the Adobe range of products.

i have elements 11, and have to say it's excellent especially for a beginner like me. lots of supported guide modes as well as full expert mode too. well worth the money!

I have bean doing a little reading on element 11 trial and found there has been a lot of issues
with the trial version, Did you have the trial 1st if so how did you find it ? Some people have
said the trial did not inspire them to get the full version.

i did use the trial first, and thought it was fine to be honest. i'd been messing around with editing using paint.net (a free program) and had some idea about layers and edits first. i know ps elements is a very layout and feel to other versions of elements, so that might be the source of some of the problems. i guess it's all a matter of opinion in the end try it and see!
