Apologies if I came over a little harsh, it wasn't intended. I'm just a grumpy git!!

And welcome to the forum.

As for me I have done little with my camera lately due to other things going on, I do have a shot I am trying to get for this theme but I am waiting for the right conditions, fingers crossed it will happen in the next couple of days otherwise I will have to stick with the first image I posted
Thanks for the comment Wavemachine,

I agree with you about the bland sky (it was snowing and freezing cold at the back of the boat, the rest of my family were tucked up nice and warm inside and thought I was mad to be outside trying to take a photo). And it's not your eyes, I straightened the top 'gantry' and seem to have made the road deck wonky!

Just been playing around with another photo. Now I have to decide which one to enter.

@hssutton - I love your latest image: it has everything going for me: drama in the sky and the texture of the thatch, rough stone and frosty ground.

I went to another gig at the weekend, this time in Islington, to see Snakecharmer. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening although I couldn't get a photopass as they were filming the show (album launch gig). I took a few shots on a G12. Personally I've never found that it's that great in low light, despite the claims when it was released, but quite liked this one:

I really like the texture, detail and tones of this photograph, but then I also like the misty shot that you have as well. I think it's going to be a difficult choice that you'll have to make.

A really good expression and you did well in what must have been difficult lighting. I know it's the angle of the shot, but I can't help thinking that he's either quite small, or has a really tall microphone, I wonder if you could bring the microphone down on the stand a bit in Photoshop?

Thanks to Carol & Nick for their comments. Think I'm in full agreement with Nick regarding Carols photo gig. Excellent photo, but the mike does look a little awkward.

As Sabrina says, there are some excellent photos for this month.

I had another go at the thatched church and I think it will be my entry, but used my IR converted Canon 10D for this one
