Like the sound of whoop whoop, do you dance when you say that?

OK have used the tutorial mentioned earlier for CS3. Have also played on my sons MAC which has CS5. Oh ny word, CS5 is so much better! made HDR a piece of cake! Now its perfecting the process...I can't decide how bold or how subtle to be.

Personally, I would always go for bold. To me, hdr should always look a bit OTT but that's just my opinion

I agree, to a degree. I've done a few that have been too OTT and haven't worked.
I think there needs to be a balance - And I haven't got it right yet.

Chris, know what you're saying. Some if the entries so far are very good, and mine photos don't really cut it alongside those others. But I've really enjoyed this theme, I have learned quite a lot and still have lots to learn about HDR. And that's what the comp is about, so I'm happy. :

I think it ultimately comes down to the image and what you are trying to achieve, HDR can be so subtle the people do not realise they are looking at an HDR image but then again it can be really pushed to give the image a more of an arty feel!

I think as we have all descovered this is a very broad and quite a challenging technique, it is a lot of fun though so great choice DD

My interpretation of HDR

HDR meaning High dynamic Range, allows a greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current cameras can achieve, This is nothing to do with the way out images that we see. These type of photos are 'Tone Mapped Images' which is a totally different kettle of fish.

That's a good way of looking at it Harry. It does seem to be open to interpretation by people though.
