Butterflies at Wisley

Went to Wisely today as they currently have butterflies in their greenhouse. It was quite busy, so hate to think how busy its going to be at the weekend. Lots of photographers there today, and a few with tripods. I wasn't very pleased with my results overall, It was so dull that I decided that rather than sacrifice ISO I'd underexpose the background and expose for the butterfly with the flash.
All thought appreciated.

Taken with ef24-105
ISO 200
f 4
1/100

I think you've done a good job. I like the black backgrounds you've got here, makes the butterflies stand out more, and give them an 'arty' look.
Focus and detail are old.
Only observation is that the stem in the first photo looks a bit over exposed. Just an observation.
Overall, good job.

Lovely images with great detail and colour , I agree with Chris about the under exposed background it make's for a perfect backdrop to show off the colour and detail .

Don't know if it's just me but if I turn them to the horizontal I find them a lot easier and more comfortable to view .

Thanks Mark and Jediboy, I wondered about their orientation, but decided to leave them the way they were found 'hanging'. I'm never to sure whether to change or leave it as original.
There is a little shine on the stem, though I suppose I could tone it down a little, luckily there is detail there. Might give it a tweak later.
