Thanks for the comments and crit. Appreciate it.
I've had a look and think its ok with the horizon, the verticals seem OK. But I can see that it appears to be slanting slightly. The only reason I can think for this is the angle of the buildings?? I'm looking at it so closely now my eyes are starting to hurt.
Thanks again.

Chris

I like this a lot. I'm not sure about the lifebelt; in many ways, I think the image would be better without it, but if it stays I don't know if I prefer colour, mono, or muted. Probably need to see it bigger to be sure.

The tilt to the right struck me initially. Try a 1.2 degree rotation to the left. That will get the lifebelt post and most of the building edges very close to straight. The TV aerial will still be leaning right, but they do, don't they?

Thanks Chris.

I'll have a play with the horizon tomorrow and see how it looks.
Thanks again for all the comments.

I have straightened this up, just by a couple of degrees. I can't make my mind up, almost looks like its going the other way now?
Any thoughts??
Cheers

Chris

It's a great image - my personal preference is for the original coloured version, straightened.

I think the life belt adds a welcome splash of colour to brighten the general mistiness.

Bit late to it, sorry
Really like this shot Jediboy, and I think the colour in the lifebelt is special, especially considering the line from the embankment leads the eye up towards the lifebelt itself, so I feel it is something that should be noticed rather then having it's colour taken out. The lifebelt to me, is a bit like when people do B&W photo's but leave a red pair of shoes or a read coat there standing out which I like.

I didn't have any issues with the horizon, and wonder if it's the line of the roofs that causes the effect.

Thanks Rob.
I'm still torn between the horizon. originally I thought it was straight, and the issue was the roof tips like you said, but I could see why people thought it was slightly off.
Thanks again for your comments.
