That's two in a row I have missed now, hopefully I will get one in next weekend.

Some nice entries this week, I am going to vote now.

Take care all, and good luck.
Sorry to here that but glad you are all okay!

Yep! No damage to car or people (except my pride of course). These things happen.

it's nice to see new people voting in the weekend comp. Those new ones, why not join us and enter? It's fun and educational.

It is indeed, I think it would be great if more people take part, I also think it is a shame that not as many people vote these days though which makes me wonder how many people know about the weekly and monthly challenges. Interestingly the monthly challenge seems to attract even less voters which is odd as the poll is up longer! Maybe people think if they don't take part they can't vote!

That's a good point Dave.
These are the numbers of members and active members on the site;

Members: 155,659, Active Members: 1,143

When you consider these numbers, participation in the comps is very low indeed.
But to be honest, the site in general isn't really that busy. I remember when it was DCM (I think that's what it was called) it seemed to be much busier. (But I never entered the comps so I can't comment on that side of things).

Maybe it's worth thinking of ways to promote the comps, to try and get more participation.

When I joined it was photoradar. I have tried to get DC Mag interested in promoting the comps but their allegance seems to be with ~Facebook and twitter sadly.

It was only Photoradar for a while before it became what it is today. I didn't really use photoradar.

Could the comps be promoted through the digital camera world Facebook page?
Just an idea.

I'm on Facebook but not Twitter.
It's possible that when the theme is announced we could post it on the Facebook page, and keep dropping reminders on there.
I hope they wouldn't have an issue with that. Bearing in mind this skate and the Facebook page are essential essentially the same thing.
