SLR Training

Hi

I have just purchased a Nikon D300s and am looking for some SLR training so that I can use my new camera to its full potential. I have already looked at Nikon courses which look pricey and also at Park camera courses which look good, but has anyone got any good experiences with these 2 or any other companies offering training.

thanks
James

Hi james, I attended courses at experience seminars near to cambridge, it's for canon users but others who had a variety make of cameras attended and found it very good. Worth a look at www.experience-seminars.co.uk
good luck

Dear James
You Tube is a good place to start, loads of rubbish but also some very good feeds, just type in Digital SLR.
Learn basic SLR, pre digital, then apply these techniques to your digital model. Try to avoid using auto modes
all the time or you will learn very little. I use Aperture mode much of the time, remember the smaller the aperture the greater your depth of field. One big advantage digital has is you can change ASA throughout so on dull days when you need great depth of field but speed is too low to handhold you can tweak it up. Get yourself a Tripod and Polarizer filter..Good Luck..Kind Regards..David
