If you get a chance to shoot it again, try a larger aperture, maybe even the largest aperture you have. That will create a shallower depth of focus and the bridge would be blurred. Take several shots at different apertures and compare them. That's the great thing about digital; you can take loads of photos and not waste a lot of money on developing and printing.

I would have framed the car with the bridge. as it is the bridge is pertruding from the car. Take a few steps to your right and have the car looking like it's under the bridge. but if you are going to include thr bridge then you pretty much need it all in, height wise, at least.

Thank you Brendan, if I get to do another shot there I will try from lots of different angles and try not to have the bridge growing out of the car

Hi Mark,an idea may have been to shoot at sunset or at night under a street lamp or some where with neonsthat could reflect off the paint, with a different angle, say from slightly above to get the cabriolet aspect more promenent and a few low angle shots of the car from the corner front bumper with a wide angle lens. Otherwise I like the exposure and colour balance, always difficult to get that right with a dark subject and contrasting backround!
Regards
Justin

Hi Justin, I was a bit limited really as the owner was less than helpful at the time. He had the top spot and wasn't moving but im sure as summer approaches i'll be having some more fun at the car shows

Good luck with the car shows, always best to get there early before the crowds.
