Hi Justin and welcome to the forum .

I'd like to start by asking you how you process your images as to my eyes the colour images look a bit over worked with the exception of the first one which I really like , just a bit of a pity about the blown sky which does distract the eye .

The black and white images are really nice with great detail and the conversion to black and white is first rate . The Waiting for the Bride shot is my favourite I think , really good detail , a great sepia conversion , great lighting and a well captured moment .

Mark

Agree with Mark on colours. Re Waiting, I don't see it as Sepia? I would straighten the walls and nearest pew. Ed.

Hi Ed& Mack

Thank you very much for the warm welcome and your critique. I have been taking photographs for a year now and am self taught. The colour images were processed using Photomatix and Canon Digital Photo Professional. The overdone colours are intentional on several of the photographs, all images were single exposures with the exception of the flowers (Lily Drops) which were a combination of 3 bracketed photos (-2,0,+2). The B&W photos are shot in monotone and the colour temperature adjusted to give the sense of warmth on the "sepia" image. all images were taken on my Canon 600D with either my 17-40mm F4.0 L/70-200mm F4.0 L lenses between F4.0 and F6.3, i like to set my filters to "Shade" and "Faithfull", with spot metering when working outdoors but adjust accordingly.

Will post some more photographs during the course of the week if you would be interested in taking a look?

Thanks again, am really enjoying the forum!

Justin
