there's always ways around things
You got me wondering what I'd do under your circumstances. I just tried turning the camera upside down, balancing the lens with my right thumb, and pressing the shutter button with my left thumb. It works well. You'd just need to turn the photos up the right way.

it's not as bad as it sounds it's been that long now since i lost most of my hand i have adapted quite well i am still able to grip items so it is not all bad

although a camera is quite bulky portrait shots can be done in two ways either by using left hand over the lens and steadying the camera with right hand or using left hand around the lens and firing the trigger with right hand ( camera shutter button at bottom ) and for landscape shots i hold the camera steady with the lens and fire with right hand or if the battery grip is fitted i use that to hold the camera with my left hand while still using me right to fire the trigger

i bet this is hard to picture but in reality it's pretty straight forward iv'e had 30 years practice

I think it's great how people find ways to overcome problems, and don't let issues like this stop people doing what they love.

I have been diagnosed with arthritis, and I'm only 37 so this came as a major shock. Especially as my job depends on my ability to use my hands.
I have seen a good specialist who will operate in february, so a few weeks with no camera or work, but he is confident it should make a huge difference. And at the moment all is good. Fingers crossesd.

i wouldn't be too worried about it there's always a way i hope all goes well in february

just concentrate on what you can do not what you think you can't soon enough the line between can n can't will become vague
to be quite honest i don't even think about what i can't do i never have
