Two fantastic shot there, the first just has the sleepy dreamland factor but the second one the unedited original for me has the wow factor the foreground has just enough color and depth to draw me into the photo. I really like both but the second one does it for me
Thank you very much for your kind comments Mark I really appreciate getting feed back from anyone with an interest in photography newbie or seasoned oldie , viewing and commenting on other members images is one of the best ways I have found of learning and improving my own work so please feel free to ask questions and pass critique on any of my shots .
Cheers Ed , I'm not sure if you mean the colour needs enhancing or toning down .
If you mean it needs enhancing then it's a pity you can't see the full sized image because the island really looks as if it's punching through the mist with quite bright colours .
If you mean they need toning down a bit then all I can say is that I've tried keeping the colours as close to the true scene as possible .
Thank you very much for taking the time to comment I really appreciate it .
Hi Justin , thank you very much for your comments and I'm so glad you liked it . I find myself being drawn more and more towards a more minimalistic style of late so your comments about the simplistic elegance of it are very welcome thanks .
No polariser filter but I did use a ND gad to even out the exposure of the sky and reflection , sorry about the second image I've been messing with my gallery and the only shot I have left is this one which I have photoshopped in some extra mist over the foreground reeds but the rest of the image is as shot .
