Used to do a lot of early morning sunrise type shots (4ish) in Cardiff and considered my tripod to have a secondary purpose of supporting the camera! But I never had any problems from those stumbling home, not even groups

As for disguising my camera? Total waste of time, especially given that it was dark so no one knew what manufacturer I had!

Question

Can anyone recommend a camera bag that i can put my DSLR in that doesn't look like a camera bag? Something that doesn't scream 'I HAVE AN EXPENSIVE CAMERA INSIDE OF ME!'

Thanks.

The messenger style bags do not really look like camera bags. Another thing to disguise the bag is avoid LowePro, the label says "Hey, camera here!". I have seen several magazines do stories on bags that do not look like camera bags, but not recently.

I have a lo pro at the mo but it's awkward getting my camera back in, as the back padding gets caught underneath and it's fiddly strightening i out again.

With point and shoot cameras doing a superb job, these days, if I was in an area where I'm likely to be robbed, I'd take the P&S and leave the big 'un at home. My little Nikon Coolpix has a 16 Megapixel sensor, and does a fabulous job!

You don't even need a bag for it!

I use paper tape to make my camera look old, looks like it glues the pieces together...
