Only a Rose

The bush on which this was grown, is over a 100 years old! Ed.

It certainly is a beautiful rose but if I'm perfectly honest I'm not blown away by the photo , in my opinion it lacks any kind of artistic merit . Now don't get me wrong as a stock photo it's fine , it's got a beautiful shape and it's well lite and the colours looks very natural but there doesn't seem to be any kind of personality or individuality to it .

These are as always just my own thoughts .

Mark

Thumbs up

Hi Ed

I like the soft luminance and subtle detail in the flower itself. What post processing did you use?

Justin

Thanks Justin, I blurred the background, situation did not lend itself to do so naturally, and, as always, sharpened it Use P/shop CS4E, not an expert by any means. Ed.
