Printer question

I have just jumped ship - to Mac. I have recently purchased an iMac ( OS X Snow Leopard operating system). Are there any tech guy's out there who could advise me if it is possible to make my Canon Pro-9000 printer work wireless (i don't think it is a wireless printer) form my Mac. Previously i simply took my laptop to the small room where the printer is and connected them with the usb cable. My Mac is set - up in another room 18 mtr's away. Cheer's guy's

That is not a wireless printer. Look for a wireless USB "print server", you will just plug in the USB cable to it. You will still need a wireless router of some sort.

You could try bluetooth, but the range will probably not be enough, but then you would not need the wireless router.

Thanks for that mate. I had phoned canon's tech line and they were no help at all i'd have been better off asking my nan and saved myself a phone call.
