Pleased you managed the download ok.

I would agree with you re. the end of month being so close. I had the one opportunity to get a decent result and made a basic error of not taking enough photos (79) 200 or so is really required for star trails and I also had the camera angle set incorrectly.

Even if we get a decent sky in the next few says only the moon would be viable shot, as it's so bright you can hardly see the stars.
Yesterday evening The moon made a stunning appearance, but by the time I changed my lens and stuck the camera on the tripod it clouded over. Still another chance tonight and up to midnight Friday.

Fingers crossed

Harry

This isn't really what I was hoping for. But with many cloudy nights and a few failed attempts, this is pretty much the best I've got.

Probably better to forget this months comp and start again for December. How about winter or Christmas as a theme.

Something original you mean? Let's see how the entries develop, there was no shortage of people showing an interest (okay a handful}, but you can't guarantee the weather and an awful lot of photographs are taken outside.

Christmas and Winteris not there for everyone......some places around the globe its summer, and not everyone celebrates christmas.............also .the monthly theme is for a technique rather than a theme. Hey, lets go with those thats entered, do a poll, only fair for those who went out there and did it. Dave, wanna doa poll and does anyone mind if Dave enters his, its a very good image.
