Cracking photo dave, and a lovely dog! A little disappointed with you though to be honest................with a theme called 'HARD', where have your usual puns gone!

You must be busy, or restrained!

Have an idea in mind, but alas I will not get time to enter this week. Went to London for the day yesterday (forgot the camera), and now the batteries for it are in the new toys the kids bought from Hamley's toy store. Good luck everyone!

Worked late Friday night, all day Saturday so went out walking this morning and yes, got a picture to enter so at least there will be one in the entries for this weekend.
Hope there are some more.

We have had a rough weekend of it here in rainy Devon, many places have been flooded and last night I was up to my knees in water making up and wheelbarrowing sandbags around with fellow villagers to the worst affected properties. Thankfully we did a pretty good job but for some there was nothing we could do against the might of nature.

Here is a shot I took yesterday in the blistering rain which is my entry for this week:-

Hard to Believe

I am going to try one although I don't fancy my chances having seen the ones above.

Hope its not too bad down there Dave. I too spent several hours last night knee deep in flood water. I ended up with feet like blocks of ice and it took me a while to get the feeling back.
Worst flooding I have seen in a long time!!

Yep I know that feeling, I didn't realise how cold I was until I jumped into the shower! It could have been a lot worst but I am sure those affected won't quite see it like that! The most annoying thing is it came down our road because the council but a grate for the water to escape on one side of the road and a granite wall the other side above the stream so the water couldn't direct itself sensibly, a couple of blokes took it upon themselve to smash a gap in the wall and there were a couple of less than pleased council officials looking at the DIY wall job this morning!

I hope it's not too bad where you are!

It's not too bad where I live, luckily I live on top of a hill. But areas of Northampton were really bad overnight, and thats where I was.
You can't blame peope for looking at ways to ease the flooding, especially when their houses and families are so close. I'd probably have done the same to protect my family and property.
