Thumbs up New Tripod.

My new Slik pro 700 dx tripod arrived today.
I've been after a new tripod for a while and settled on this one. My old(ish) Velbon was good to a point but couldn't cope with the weight when I mounted bigger lenses on my camera.

The Slik is heavy, but rock solid. Better than I could have hoped for. It's a quality item compared to my Velbon and it's really, really well made.
I think this was about £300 when first released, but it's now less than £120.

I know that recently there have been a few posts here asking about tripods, so hopefully this may be of some help to anyone looking for a tripod.
This is great and a bit of a bargin.

I tried out the slik pro 700 when I was in the market for a tripod and was very impressed with the build quality but after a couple of weeks I took it back and exchanged it because of the weight , I ended up with the manfrotto 190xprob but it was a very close run thing .

I sure is heavy Mark. But I don't plan on carrying it over long distances. Hopefully.
