littlebro, I am saying this tongue in cheek: give it time.... mine took about three months to develop. And the odd thing is, it finally blew after the last automatic update from Adobe. It satrted when I worked on a huge folder (>5000 pics), then finally crashed when working on a smaller folder (about 700 pics). And there it hangs today... but will try some workarounds tonight and update you tomorrow.

Sincerely hope that yours does not follow suit!

Did you try starting in "Safe mode" then try clearing the cache?

Wink

Ok, half way there. Started in safe mode, then ran as administrator, reset all preferences and purged the cache. Voila, Bridge opened. BUT, now it tells me it cannot find photoshop.exe on the C drive, even though I have copied it over from the D drive. Another interesting bit of advice from Adobe was to uninstall, run the Adobe script cleaner, then re-install. Did not need to do that. Might get a fundi to look at my computer just to find out why no comms between Bridge and CS6. Interestingly enough, the files are on both C and D drive, yet on D drive it tells me I have my full 500 Gb space available......

Either way, thanks a mil for your suggestion, littlebro.

Oh, another thing I noticed is that the files now only display as IMGPxxx, as opposed to either PEF or TIFF. What could cause this? I tried looking under preferences, but no luck.

Event logs are under Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer. Check the various logs looking for a critical error. This should tell you the file or files that are producing the errors.

Click the Windows 7 start button, in the search box type eventvwr and you should see the event viewer listed, double click it.

More information on the event viewer here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ndows-7-a.html

Yes, but it's also the same in Vista. If you can't follow the path I've given you, then use the Help and Support facility and type Event Viewer into that search option and it will show you.
