LED Flash Lamps for music photography?

Hi all

I've seen this kind fo thing on a few different sites

would this be an alternative to flash for things like live music photography? I did see somebody with one at a recent gig but I am unclear if they were filming video with the SLR or actually taking photos.

These are of course not "Flash" but a constant light source of the type you need for video you can use them for stills but they are not very subtle
as with all LED lights they will get darker with age and so are not very consistent
For still photography you are better off with a good flash gun IMHO
