Maybe I did have it on, really can't remember isung it. I never use flash when out of doors unless its dusk. The leaf was quite a way away and the built in flash wouldnt have 'filled in' enough tobe noticed. Grrrr, you think that caused the 'halo'? The leaf was a few feet away, floating in a pond.

i just wanted to say that i think it's a lovely arty shot. i saw something very similar in a shop the other day...so good job i think your pp was good too, comparing the before and after shots, so don't put yourself down with that

I really like this its simple yet beautiful, im new to this so I dont really understand what people are saying until ive read there comments and gone back and looked again at the image. So hear goes I really like the gradient in the water it adds a bit of mood to the image also the white halo seems unnatural and bleeds a little on to the leaf as for the difference in colors youve captured them stunningly. The only thing I would do would be to try tone down the halo a little.

Just a newbies thoughts

Removing the reflection of the stalk spoils the shot for me, the water has an almost mirror finish so the reflection is necessary to complete the shot. just my perspective.
