Up - Opposite Ends of a Match

Can't see anything wrong with this photo. Burnt from one end through to the opposite end so one theme.

Down - Tea / Coffee

I liked the way this was composed in trying to cross the spouts. On theme if you ask me as Tea is a completely opposite to Coffee other than you drink them both hot. Ones a bean and you can get granulated and the other a leaf which you can get in bag or loose, they smell very different also. The one thing that distracted me was the black mark on the lid of the coffee pot, I think a quick spot heal would have sorted.

Up - Sabrina_de_Winter - soft vs. prickly

Excellent shot and a worthy winner that go my vote, only minor crit is the composition may have worked a bit better if you pulled back a bit and had the feather more to the top right corner but having said that it worked well, loved the processing.

Down - DigiDiva - Hot & Cold, Fire & Ice


Great idea and really nicely laid out, loved the contrast of the colours and the dark background with the drips on it the only issue I had was it wasn't as sharp as your shots normally are mainly around the stem/stalky bit at the top of the chillie. Having said that I know you have had issues to contend with so well done on putting such a great entry.

These are of course just my opinions which as always are intended to be constructive.

Up- Wet & Dry; black & white; rough and smooth
Like the idea behind this and the sandpaper works well, but I couldn't quite work out what the white was supposed to be. Probably me being stupid. It looked a bit like sandpaper on a white background.

Down - Transform.
Good idea, Not sure the focus works for me though.

Just my thoughts.
Good efforts all round.

The blurring, i realise, is due to the ice starting to slide and the londer than I should have shutter speed. Was only a token entry though so no worries.
