Why not say 1 second or longer but then again some of my macro shots I do a long exposure just to avoid using flash but as said previously let the voters decide

Generally if a shot requires a long exposure you use a tripod to eliminate camera shake yes? so how about saying if the shot requires a tripod to avoid the above its long enough?

Hi,
I'm back in the UK now so can update the 'rules.'
Having had a look at various references, long exposure photography appears to be anything from 1/2 a second. So we'll go with that. Hope that's ok with everyone.

How are people getting on? I've had a few ideas and need I pull my finger out. Being hampered about by the weather, again, but need to get out there soon or it'll be a mad rush.

Nothing from me so far. Have not picked the camera up for over a week now! Far too much going on! Hope to have a go because I bought some ND Filters a month ago that I have not tried out yet.
