The Loire

Afternoon all!

Haven't posted any images in many months. Been too caught up trying to shift them out into libraries etc.

The other day I went down to the Loire and caught a little light. It's not fantastic but for me it was a change from processing!

Lovely capture. The reflections of the sky in the water are lovely. Not sure the metering for the sky is spot on, but not far off. But Im still relatively inexperienced so may be totally wrong!

Thanks for that both of you!

Now, DigiDiva. What gives you suspicions that the metering in the sky is off? Does it look too dark?

This morning was a bit odd from the usual ones around here. Normally, it seems to be a little cloudy then clears up nicely. On this particular morning, it started out amazing, although I couuldn't get there, and slowly got worse. An hour later though it was back to blue skies!

And Mark, every library? Well, no but it damn well feels like it!!!

Getty Images as both rights managed and royalty free. Thankfully more of the former as they like my work. Around 800 images.

Robert Harding - needs more ploughing into it. Just over 200 images.

Arcaid - an architectural specialist. Again needs more ploughing in but they should have around 1000 or so of my images by the end of the year. Currently around 400 or so.

Alamy - started seriously putting work in at the beginning of the year. I used to be cr@p at passing QC but now I pass every time Currently up to around 1250 or so images.

Plus around 5 royalty free libraries with all the dross that is left from the above

Let me tell you, it is damn hard work!!!

What I'm hoping for is that my Getty statements continue as they were for August. Sales amounted to something very nice but it's a shame they take a big slice. If not, the total sales would be a decent income every month.

Plan for the coming year is to increase my stock library from around 4000 images up to around 12000 images.
