if i hear nothing soon, i'm going to suggest smoke photography - has this been done already?

Its ok to redo a technique - new people joining the forum, etc. Solong as a dcent amount of time has elapsed. If u want smoke, then I see no problem, what do others think?

Personally, I would like to try this again.

well shall we go for smoke then? something i've always wanted to try...(no word from pistola). i'll try and get it set up asap, but not at computer for rest of today...would have to be tomorrow.

If thats your final choice, I can do it for you if you want. The theme should really be up by now. Unlessn Pistola can do it for you? Let me know, though you have said you arent at the computer again today...

I have just replied sorry been working. I replied to Alexs' PM before I read this and suggested a theme but smoke is fine if thats how its looking. Either theme I don't mind doing the posts.

Looking back I can't see a Painting with light so lets go with that. Alex seems happy to leave me to decide which one so I thought I would look back and see how long ago each was done and then choose the oldest theme.

Any how

Up - Goldfinch
Some patients and a bit of luck. I would say the bird is out of focus but you couldn't control how far or close this would be to you when you get that magic shot. Good idea.

Down - Refracted Flower
Great idea. This would be very hard to pull off and other than the softness you did.
