Congratulations DD on your win my vote went to AlexHarison101 light speed, I like light trails and I felt it was very nicely done.

Thank you to Sabrina for my vote.

Up - Pistola - Through the Saw

Very nice shot I really liked it I couldn't see anything that I didn't like and am surprised it didn't attract any votes.

Down - DigiDiva - Feeding Table

Really nice capture, lovely motion from the birds wings my only crit is it was a bit to dark which some adjustments in PP should fix but still a cracking shot well done.

Nice one DD. Totally fitted the brief and I like the expression of the incoming bird, grit, determination and motivation. I do however agree with wavemachine about it being underexposed.

Up: 'The Wheat Field' by kerbside.

I like this one for it's harvest and late summer feel to it with an impending storm on the horizon. Subtle movement of the wheat stalks in the foreground plant it firmly in the frame and consequently fits the brief.

Down: 'Light Speed' by alexharrison101

Nothing new here I'm afraid but it's competently achieved with good composition and captured at dusk not near or complete darkness. The top right is overexposed and perhaps could have been photographed maybe 15 minutes later to emphasise the light trails?

Well done DD.

Up - go with the flow
The colour seems slightly off and the focus throughout the frame is soft but probably due to the long exposure required to mist the water falling slightly. A slight re-composure to centre the stream and two exposures merged (one long and one short) would make this a very nice shot indeed.

Down - Tidal Movement
Nice splash. Tad dark I think but nothing else to criticize.

Im so pleased to have won this one as I spent ages in a hot hide, trying to capture the right moment. Taking on board what has been said about the dark image, I agree but had forgotten to reset to shoot in RAW so couldn't change it without the whites being blown out. Ah, the beauty of RAW, just newly discovered, thanks to friends helping on here.

Thanks to alexharrison101, Cutter, damage, Jerry WSL, JonnyM, kerbside, Mudcrabmal for my votes which were very much appreciated.

Ups - Tidal Movement - A nice image overall but being the summer (so they say) and being the seaside, i wonder how this would look with the vintage effect some of us tried in the monthly comp a couple of months ago.

Downs - The Wheat Field - I really liked the low angle and the composition of this, though Im not sure about the processing. For me, it distracted from the theme.

Have a couple of ideas for this weekends theme, will post my final one later tonight or tomorrow.

I always used to have my camera set to RAW + JPG then you get both then I was using RAW for everything so leave it in RAW only now.

Yep it is summer but saturday night (when I took the shot) here was gloomy and pretty foggy but I will have a look at retro processing thanks for the comments and suggestion.I did have fish and chips on the beach though which was nice
