photoshop 9

Hi all, just a quick question about p.s. 9, Im new to photography and im still shooting in j,peg at the moment so when i load my pictures into p.s. 9 and do any work on them i,e, removing spots etc, what is the best way to save them, is it just save, or should it be save as ! ! ! ! , at the minute im using save as and then sending them to a flash drive to print them but they are not showing up on the flash drive, when i then go back to the photo's p,s say's that it cant open these files, I have to open them in window's I know that im doing something wrong but I just dont know what
Any help would be great in solving this problem, cheers john.

If you use save as this gives you the option to save the file under a different name. You could try saving to the same location as the original file and then copying across to your flash drive. What file extension are they being saved as?
