Panasonic lenses question

Hi

Just signed up to the forum. Looking forwards to learning a lot!

I have a Panasonic DMC-FZ8 superzoom camera and I'm interested in trying out different lenses. I found this kit online http://www.digitaltoyshop.co.uk/prod..._Lumix_DMC-FZ8

My question is, can I use these lenses straight away with my camera or would I need an adapter of some sort to use them?

I suppose a good second question is, are these lenses likely to be any good? Has anybody bought from this place before?

Thanks in advance
Paul

Hi Paul, welcome to the forums.

The FZ8 should have come with a screw in filter adaptor in the box - it was a standard item from Panasonic. The lenses would then screw onto that.

As for quality, they aren't going to be great but they will do what they say they should. I would say that they seem very expensive for what they are though! You can normally find these sorts of things for £10 or less on eBay.

As for the shop themselves, there isn't much information when you google them. I would suggest you have a hunt around on eBay and see if you can get these cheaper.

Thanks for the advice Chris. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to cameras, will any wide angle or telephoto lens fit my camera then or do I still need to look for ones compatible with my model?

cheers

If you've got the adaptor that came with the camera you can screw on anything with a 52mm thread.
