Decided to splash out in the Nikon 105, got a good deal from the local store, well good'ish but still cost me about 700 quid.

Now to decide whether or not to by a standard 50mm or the 35mm as recommended here. Then I reckon I've got a good range of lenses to cover the things I like to take pics of.
£700 is not a good price, Jacobs are selling this lens for £580 (using discount code LENS25) £700 represents one of the most expensive prices currently charged on the high street.

I hear you but here in Norway everything is that much dearer! Beer is 7 quid a pint in a bar!

I could have bought online but with shipping, VAT - 25% - and customs charges the best price I found in the UK worked out about the same.
