Well done again on your win.

You need to set up two new threads in this forum a chat one and an entry one, if you look at the last comp chat and entry threads that should give you an idea.

If you are unsure then you can send me a message as to what you want the theme to be by clicking my username and I will be more than happy to set the threads up for you.

I like the effect you've used (colour popping) but feel perhaps it would of been better either just coloured or B+W to show more of your shallow DoF skills, i don't feel you needed to pop it to grab attention that should have been done by your DoF you used-hope that makes sense to you! otherwise the picture itself is fine

A very nice entry, for me the highlights are good, they don't distract from your technique and as always a very sharp image. Always good to see your entries Mark- hope you're well?

I voted for Hssutton because it fits the theme, is a good shot, I could see nothing wrong and I love those eyes!

As for My entry I wanted the shallow DoF to have some relevance to my foreground so that's why I chose the subject as I did!

A little late with my ups/downs, must say it was a pleasure to see the exif included in both my ups 'n downs, IMO all entries should incude the exif.

ogri 1st red admiral, excellent photo fits the theme perfectly, but I would have prefered the focus to have been on the eyes leaving the fore and background blurred.

Jediboys fly, as above excellent photo perfectly fitting the brief, but again IMO the focus should have been on the eyes.

I guess it's a bit of a fixation with me, the eyes should always be in focus.

As per Harry, late with ups and downs however here goes.

Up - Reach for the Sky

Surprised that this only got 1 vote however the field was strong this week. Nothing wrong with the shot, although maybe not enough DOF for what was required????

Down - Blue anemone.

Good concept to pop the colour, however i thought that the only thing in focus was the stem and maybe the stamens and pistil should of been a bit sharper. Also the large white area at the base of the picture is very distracting.

Well done to the winners and thank you for the people who voted for my Dominos.
