Reducing the image a little on desktop does allow you to click on the first letter of the Forum.

everything in this site is not good anymore...i always go to pixoto and 500px...but i still subscribe to your magazine..

That probably depends on the length of your username. Two confilcting menus; one tied to the left, the other to the right of the frame. There might be good reasons for restricting the usable screen width, but to then make menus compete for the restricted space is silly.
