Photo to DVD Recorder Problem

My Father has transferred a couple of photos from his EOS 450D to a DVD using a DVD recorder and the camera's lead. The exposure information is visible atthe top of all the photos on the DVD and he doesn't know how to remove it. He has transferred photos using this method before without the same problem.

Does anyone know why this camera setting information is visible in the photos and how does my Father turn it off?

Thanks in advance.

Ian.

that must be one of the worst ways i have ever heard of for transferring photo's to dvd

you have a computer with a dvd R drive already i presume ??

why not just transfer the images straight from the memory card to a dvd in jpg form
most if not all dvd players are capable of displaying jpg files

better still make a simple slide show up in dvd format

as for your question try pressing the info button

It's complicated but my Father doesn't have a computer! Normally he just prints direct from his camera but on this occasion he was asked to copy a couple of slides and put them onto a dvd. Having copied slides in the past and put them onto dvd using his recorder he didn't think it would be a problem - just that this time the info was visible and he couldn't work out how to remove it.

Could I ask what you mean by the 'info button'? Are you talking camera or dvd recorder?

Many thanks

Ian.

the camera

on the back of the camera there is a button labeled info which if i remember correctly superimposes setting information onto the photo
by pressing this button you should be able to cycle through the info until no info is shown just the photo

good luck....

Many thanks. I'll pass the info on to my Dad and see if it helps.

Regards

Ian.
