Sizewell

Hi all

I've recently had a long overdue holiday in Suffolk and, although I didn't get much time to indulge in photography, I did get a couple of interesting shots from a few places.

One place I visited was Sizewell, the site of the nuclear power reactor and while I was strolling along the beach a storm closed in so I grabbed a couple of moody looking shots of the power station and the beach before dashing to the car for shelter.
This is the last shot I grabbed as I was heading back to the car. The chair was just sat on the beach looking rather folorn and rusty and as I looked back you could just see Sizewell B poking over the beach.

I'm in two minds about this photo, so I'd appreciate your C&C.

The dome looks like the rising sun. Great shots and love the sky.

Thanks OB. I'd like to have had a little bit more of the reactor in the picture. I'm not sure if it's quite balanced

Nice shot Chris. I can see what you mean about your composition. The power station does look a little small and distant. Love the sky, though.

I really like this, it has so much going for it great lead in lines, great sky,the scifi looking dome and the seamingly abandoned deck chair on the left.

Nice shot.

I like this as well. As others have said, great sky and lead-in lines. The bright dome, the worn out chair and the dark sky, all add up to make the photograph look quite apocalyptic.

Regards

Nick

Thanks guys! It's quite a stark scene and it's quite a weird place as well.

That's what you become if you stay there too long - weird!
