Congratulations to Clickin Girl. Excellent shot and it got my vote. Loved the 'refreshing' feel to it! Well done to DD too for 2nd place, another great shot. The only reason it didnt get my vote was because I thought the top half of the bottle was too dark. A little side lighting and it would have just swung my vote.

Up
Cutter's 'carlsberg bottle' - another superb shot (as always ) and very professionally done. The bottle cap is a nice touch and the lighting spot on. Great shot.

Down
hsutton's 'in the garden' - well spotted and excellent subject. I might have gone for a closer crop to concentrate on the fly. I feel as if the green areas are competing with the fly. But then the theme IS 'green' so maybe I'm wrong Nice idea though.

Thank you to DigiDiva, GUY1970, Muckyboy, and wotcars for my votes. Cheers!!!

Congrats to Clickin' Girl on your winning shot!

Well done to DigiDiva on becoming Runner Up. Got my vote. Loved the lighting and the composition. Very French!

Up kerbside - Brocolli
Super full frame shot. Great focus and I liked the water droplets too. That's 1 of my 5 a day sorted!

Down Clickin' Girl - Citrus Green
Great idea and colours, well executed, the water droplets added drama.
Deserved winner.
*fist bump*

I also liked Cutter's - Probably the best green in the world.
My favourite beer!

Clickin Girl, congratulations on your win! A cracking shot, well thought out and photographed.

It was one of my favourites, but in the end, I decided to go for uncomplicated, robust honesty and voted for Matthew's 'On the Farm.' (Highlandscenics)
The fact, that I used to drive a tractor and 'made hay while the sun shone,' as a teenager, during my summer holidays, may wel have swung the vote.
I've always had a weak spot for machinery. (Among lots of other things, that's why I did not vote for your entry Mark! )

Oh, I realise I've covered my ups and downs at the same time!

My own shot did not do well at all. I think Dolly is better suited to her role as scaremonger.

Okay guys I am going to do this quick as my internet keeps kicking me off and I don't know how long I have!
Thanks so much to everyone who voted for me! It was really close this time and some really great entries! Congrats DD for being the runner up! My vote went to Cutter's, I loved the bright green and on the white background it looked like you could just reach in and grab it! Great capture!

Up: Go Cycle Go Green- Liked this shot and the fact that it was green for the environment instead of literal green! Way to think outside the box!

Down: Dolly- This was one that almopst got my vote. I loved the green eye and it was so creepy! Nice shot Reinardina!

Will be back to post the next topic in a little while.

WOW Not had that many votes in a while......well done Clickin Girl. a well deserved win. I liked how you captures the water on this. Well done.

My entry - thanks to Bill McGilligan, Cutter, donoreo, hssutton, ogri1st, Semaj and TwinnieE for my votes. Much appreciates and a boost to my confidence. Bill, a new face on the comps but looking at your gallery, u have been here a while so welcome to this part of the forum and why not join us this weekend. ~Thanks to Mark (Cutter) for his comments, I'm really pleased you liked my entry. I tried less this weekend than usual, but now I think that is the key. A more laid back approach. Also thanks to TwinnieE and Deena for your comments.

Up - Wotcar's Green Fields - I know the theme was green, but a little sky may have enhanced this show. However, nicely done and great, lush pastures.

Down - JohnnyM's Go Green, recycle your bags! - The murky water put me off a little in this, but you id capture the theme or green so ell done on an imaginative shot.

My weekend comp idea is again shelved for at least another week..lol. I was so pleased with the votes this week. I think Im learning and improving so thats what counts but I am sorry to miss out on the win by 2 votes.

Above Muckyboy

A nice spring photo, I can see nothing wrong with it but maybe if you were at a lower height or a different angle you could have added some more interest.

Below Bendall

Fits the theme beautifully, really like the composition and DoF used, nicely exposed, all in all perfect!

I voted for Clickin girl because it was such a refreshing shot and i like the effect, and it meets the criteria of the theme perfectly, I also particularly liked Cutters, Peas & DD entries this time, although they were all good.

Am looking forward to trying for an entry this week - close up or macro!!

I would like to thank Nick_Grey for his vote, it kept me out of the Zero's once again.

As for the competition it looks like a few more contestants this week which can only be a good thing.

UP - GREEN SPRING
Good shot, in focus as we would expect, the background was a little sterile/bland for my liking, maybe a darker colour would of worked.

DOWN - GO CYCLE
Good thinking of the green theme with more than one link to it in this picture.

Above: In the Garden - great shot of this fly and I love the framing with the out of focus leaves.

Below: 18th Green - Lovely capture and clever caption. The scrappy bit of grass spoils it a bit, so not sure if you could have cropped in closer or waited until the lamb moved a bit. Maybe a lower angle would have hidden it a bit. Well spotted though.

My vote went to Clickin Girl's Citrus Green - this is just my kind of shot. Really well captured. :-)

And thanks to Karen for my vote.
