Activations

I am a bit puzzled about the activation of window progs when loaded. With 98 and xp you get about 8 activations before they say "no more". But with W7 you only get one for that PC but then no more for a different PC. W7 was the only upgrade I have used, all the others were the full program

Win 98 had no activation, but legally you are only entitled to install it on one computer. XP is the same. The exception is if you bought a volume license, but that is still limited by the number you purchased. Again, this is legally.
