Well done Mathew, great win and got my vote ironically that shot would have worked just as well for last weeks theme

Thanks to Cathus for my vote much appreciated.

Up - Donoreo - Almost a Spring Flower

10/10 for effort in trying to find a spring flower, nothing wrong with the shot gret DOF, focus, composition etc just needed to be taken a couple of weeks later

Bendal - Spring Blossom

Lovely image, love the dark background, focus, detail etc I also love the composition and the way it leads my eye along the frame. Another cracking entry and a shot to be really proud of, it was my second favourite which was narrowly beaten to my vote by the winner. Nice one.

Thanks for the Crit Don the upfrontness and honesty of it did make me chuckle.

Haha.....my memory is shocking, I had to look back to see what last weekends theme was!

Talking of themes, I have one....will announce it tomorrow. I won't be entering as I am away all weekend.

I'll also need to call on the Pollmaster to do the honours Monday...

You managed to illustrate life, with the brave wee flower, fighting its way up to the sun, despite all the odds stacked (literally!) against it.
Thanks Reinardina, I spotted it as I was sawing up some logs for the fire. There were loads of daffys' round the front of the house, but for the same reasons as you mentioned, it appealled to me as a subject more.

It's still going strong out there by my chopping block, hardy wee thing.

Well done Matthew, a worthy winner. It was a toss up between yours and Peas shot.

Up - daffodil plus visitor, nice macro closeup with vibrant colours. Very unusual sight for this time of year to see a great big bumble bee!

Down - Pedro19's entry - The most unusual entry!
