Some of you may have seen my iPhone photos in other threads.
I thought I'd explore another angle with my iPhone.
I've always liked the idea of doing some vehicle photography, where they attach a camera to the car body with a rig and then take shots of it on the move. The gear can be a bit expensive though, so I don't have a rig.
I attached my iPhone to the car and tried driving. There's nothing special about the photos themselves, these are merely some first test shots to see if the idea works.
The iPhone is put in a protective plastic case which has a tripod mount, the mount is then attached to a suction cup mount and then attached to the car. I then use some string to attached the suction cup mount to a point inside the car via a window, so if it does fall off the phone will just dangle rather than fall onto the road.
I used an app which you can input a delay into the shutter and chose 20 secs.
I stand beside the car, press the shutter, get in and drive off and 20 seconds (or whatever time later) the iphone takes a photo.
There really isn't enough movement in the shots, so I need to find an app which will take a longer shutter speed photo (you can't directly control the shutter speed and aperture in an iPhone).
Work in progress really....
