Sorry about that - don`t know what happened but seems Ok now and here it is again:
http://digital-photography-school.co...otography-tips

I wanted to push myself to do some street work so thought I`d take the rest of you with me. Use a long lens if you feel too intimidated - short as you can if you want to embrace it fully is the tip I have had from a local Leeds streetlife shooter.

I will see what I can do too

Though it is not quite straight forward as you may think, with Privacy Laws in France.

Going to need some inspiration to spring up this weekend

Oh No ! I'm out on limb, I'll give it a go and if all else fails I'll do something artistic with a lamp post

Great to see you supporting us like this and taking an interest Amy, much better than the old site. How can we get the numbers up, I think there should be many more new faces since the merger with the other Mag.

OK, so I've copied and pasted the url from the original pic in Flickr. Is this the right size? Now I need to investigate clickability.

I've added the clickability url to the above picture, but I'm not sure where it's gone. I guess it won't work because I'm telling it to click on something in my PR Photo album and yet the picture has come from Flickr. So I'm doing another here. I pasted the url from the PR album using the mountain symbol and then went off to fetch the url for the click option, but when I got back to this page, the url for the original had disappeared. Do you have to post it once and then go off and come back and edit it?

I really have no idea what I'm doing and if anyone has the patience to explain this in words of one syllable, I would be truly grateful.

Thanks,

Del:-(

Just get your shot for the weekend Del and I am sure someone will help. I know I did it a couple of weeks back OK with a formula sarasocke posted that she had got from someone else so that works. When I have done mine and uploaded it if there is nothing here I will explain how but not time just now.

Hope this helps, it works if you are linking photos hosted on Flickr

Step 1

In IE or Firefox open up two tabs, one for PR and the other for Flickr. In the PR tab, navigate to the thread you want to post in, and click on 'Reply'. This will bring up a box which you will post the code into - don't enter anything in the reply at the moment. Click on the Flickr tab and navigate to the photo you want to post.

Step 2

In the Flickr tab (with the correct photo displayed), click on the 'All Sizes' option.

Step 3

Flickr will automatically display the largest size - this is what we want. Scroll down and you will find Option 2. Highlight the code in this box, and then either right click and 'copy' or 'ctrl+c'

Steos 4, 5, & 6 to follow...

My entries will be from flickr as I can't be bothered loading up the same pictures more than once. I don't think so many people look at the galleries here. It doesn't make any difference to the competition anyway.

Paul - does the formula work the same for the gallery photos here ?

Just for Del - here's the formula again

{url="http://address of large image"}{img}http://address of medium image{/img}/{url}
Replace { with [ and } with ], and make sure you only use " around the first address.

I have the formula with the correct brackets saved in word and I just have to insert the addresses in the right places with copy and paste.

I don't know if I'm going to be able to take part this week as we're really busy this weekend and Monday I'm off to the UK till Friday. I would have loved to have met up with some of you guys as I'll be in and around Sheffield and York, but I'm afraid it's a family thing - a funeral unfortunately.

Step 4

Click back on to the PR tab. In the reply box paste the code you have copied from Flickr. In front of the code, type in '{url=' as shown in the image above. At the end of the code, type in '}' (swap the squiggly bracket for the square brackets [ ])

Step 5

Click back on the Flickr tab, and then click on the 'Medium Size' option. Scroll back down to 'Option 2' and copy and paste the code in the box.

Step 6

Click back in the PR tab and paste in the code. At the point where you inserted this code, enter '{img}' at the front, and then at the end of the code, enter '{/img}{/url}' (swap the squiggly bracket for the square brackets [ ] ). Finally, click on the 'post thread' button at the bottom of the PR page and hey presto, you should have a clickable link for you photo

EDIT: Apologies for the images being so small. If you need to see the large size let me know and maybe I can email you the images.
