Can't view CR2 files in Bridge HELP!!!!

My computer wouldn't boot last week and I had to reinstall Windows.

I now can't view CR2 files (I use a Canon) in Adobe Bridge (CS3).

How can I fix it?

Update. I've been searching the net and I found this and I still can't view the photos.

To install with Adobe Creative Suite 3 or Photoshop CS3:
1. Exit Photoshop CS3.
2. Open My Computer.
3. Double-click Local Disk (C.
4. Navigate to: c:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS3\File Formats
5. Move the existing Camera Raw.8bi plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
6. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw.8bi, from the download into the same folder as in step 4.
7. Launch Photoshop CS3 or Adobe Bridge.

Note: If generic camera thumbnails appear in Adobe Bridge, follow these steps:

1. Check to make sure the plug-in was installed in the correct directory in step 4 above.
2. Start Bridge.
3. Choose Tools > Cache > Purge Central Cache.

It got sorted before someone could help. It needed a newer version of ACR. DD, in your case the ACR that works with CS3 does not support your newer camera.

Click on the link and follow the instructions which are on this thread.

Its weird because I had some photos on my camera before I had the computer problem, which were taken 2 weeks ago. I then took some more just after 12noon. I then took some more photos at around 3:00pm this afternoon.

I found the above link and the photos already on the camera and the photos I took just after 12noon were totally fine after I installed the new update. But the newer photos won't show up as 'photos' just .CR2 thumbnails.

Anyone know what the problem is?
