Monitor callibration (new one needed)

Hi,

I currently have a spyder 3 pro on a dual monitor Windows 7 PC setup, my main monitor died a few months ago so I treated myself to a nice new IPS OLED monitor saddly it doesn't calibrate very well with the Spyder 3 and having researched it the Spyder 3 doesn't work at all well with OLED due to a limitation in the hardware.

Data colour have just released the Spyder 4 which does support OLED but also there is the Colormunki display which is around the same price, the colormunki has a really good reputation with there full screen and printer profiling solution and as I understand it the main screen calibrator is about the same.

So not sure what to go for, has anyone had any experience of the colormunki products in a dual monitor setup with or without an OLED monitor, has anyone tried the new spyder 4?

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

Just an update, e-mailed a couple of people and apparently the colormunki is slightly higher specified however just received an upgrade offer from Data colour which brings the spyder 4 pro dowm to £84 so a no brainer for me.

Just a quick update it arrived and has made a much better job of calibrating my LED monitor so I am pleased.

I have a Spyde 3 and a dual monitor setup.

I can't get the bloody things to calibrate properly, probably because I don't really understand it all. Both monitors look different and I thought e idea of calibration was to adjust them so they were the same?

I've done them both a few times and each time one has a white screen and the other has a colour cast.

I did my old monitor with a spyder and I never did see a difference. I just assumed it was pretty good to start.
