I just came to the forum part of the site and spotted a picture I wanted to comment on. By the time I signed in, the picture had disappeared. Even though I know the name of the photographer, there's no way I can locate it, unless I go through loads and loads of other photographs.

Am I missing a trick, or is it impossoble to find a particular picture even if you know who took it?

I had the same problem when the site was first operational, but then there were only so many pictures, and I managed to find it in the end. Now I can't.

Is it a shy thing, or afraid that they will be ridiculed for there photography attempts or thoughts?
And one day I hope to come out my shell.

So i think there might be many mebers who feel like me, maby if admins created a "introduce ourself" section it would be much easier for new members to get involved
Shouldn't be afraid to post comments or views on anything at all. Most people on this site will accept what you say at face value so, if you are wrong or make a mistake, will point you in the right direction with good humour. Remember, we all had to learn from scratch.

Ariana1985 - Just wondering what you need to grow a pair of?

I think the forum is good, and has a homely feel to it.
Yes the gallery does need some finetuning, but I think that it is 90% there.
Only my thoughts on the matter.
And one day I hope to come out my shell.
When I first joined, I was terrified of asking for critique of help and not once has any of my images be ridiculed or any of my questions been mocked. I have gone from strength to strength with the help here. Please don't be shy, we are a lovely bunch here and willing to share out experience.

We're always looking for ways to improve the forum, gallery and website, so I often read your comments for input and ideas.

Cheers

Maybe a decent monthly feature in DC Mag might help the forum pick up. It only has a small section for us (views from the forum). Would be nice if there was a double page or at least a single page about the forum.
